What is Crime Stoppers?
Crime Stoppers is a means for people with information about a crime to provide that information to the
Public Safety Department and still remain anonymous. Crime Stoppers provides rewards of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and convictions of person(s) responsible for committing a crime.
How Does It Work?
If you have information about a crime and wish to remain anonymous, call 800-392-8477.
You will not be asked for your name.
After you provide your information you will be given a code number. Write the number down. You will be instructed to contact Crime Stoppers at a later date to learn the amount of the reward for the information you provided. You will use the code number you were given to identify yourself when you re-contact Crime Stoppers. At this time, you will be given instructions on how to pick up your reward.
What Can I Contribute to Crime Stoppers?
Crime Stoppers is funded by donations from area businesses and citizens. If you would like to contribute, please contact the Director of Public Safety at 573-581-2100. Crime Stoppers doesn't work without your support.
