Citizens are invited to call or come by the Public Safety
Department to inquire about laws, policy and procedures, or the handling of a particular police matter. Citizens are also encouraged to contact the Public Safety Department at 573-581-2100 when they wish to compliment the service of a Public Safety Officer.
When you contact the Public Safety Department, the dispatcher will try and handle your question or inquiry in the most efficient manner. This usually involves referring you to a shift supervisor, patrol officer, or command officer. If the appropriate person is not immediately available, the dispatcher will take your phone number and have your call returned as soon as possible.
On occasion the call may not be immediately returned due to the nature of Public Safety work. An officer will call you back at the first available opportunity. Your patience is appreciated.
