[ARCHIVED] Stormwater Ordinance for Review

The City of Mexico has developed a Stormwater Ordinance and accompanying Design Manual to comply with our Stormwater Permit from MODNR. The draft Ordinance and Manual can be found on the the website by clicking on the address below. We will take comments until February 15, and then, depending on the comments, prepare the Ordinance for passage by the City Council.

Our intent has been to try to prepare an Ordinance and Manual that meets the requirements of our permit, but maintains as much simplicity as possible. Some things to note; we have maintained the one acre size before the Ordinance applies to a site, we have allowed any water quality practices affecting volume of runoff to be subtracted from the quantity required for control measures, and because in most instances the plans will be reviewed with the erosion and sediment control plan we have kept the permit fee to a minimum. Thank you in advance for any comments you may have.
