The Mexico Public Safety Department accepts applications for employment on a periodic basis when positions become available. Openings are advertised in area newspapers.

Qualifications

Applicants must:
  • Have State of Missouri POST Certification as a Peace Officer
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Have a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Be a U.S. Citizen

Applicants will be selected for employment based on a:

  • Oral interview
  • Physical examination
