Demolition Program
The Demolition Program is designed to provide assistance for the demolition of vacant and dilapidated residential structures, at no cost to property owners. Applications that qualify will be processed on a first come, first serve basis. Such properties will be required to have an exterior inspection by the City of Mexico Building Official. Applicants will be notified of eligibility within 10 days of receipt of their application.

Backflow Valve Program
This program is designed to provide financial assistance to residential property owners for the installation of a backflow valve to prevent basement sewer back‑ups.

Household Hazardous Waste Facility
The City of Mexico opened its Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Facility located at the Singleton Maintenance Center, 221 S. Morris on Wednesday April 9, 2008.

Public Sidewalk Program
This Public Sidewalk Program is intended to assist applicants with the cost of replacing all or a portion of their existing sidewalk or installing a new sidewalk. To be considered for the Public Sidewalk Program, an application must be submitted and approved prior to beginning any work on a sidewalk.
